TRIP DETAILS

Gratuities: Gratuities for the staff are pooled and distributed evenly. A gratuity envelope will be given to you on your last night in camp, please return it directly to the camp manager prior to your departure. Cash is preferred. Tipping recommendations: 10%-20% of trip cost or $600-$1200 per guest, per week.

Fishing Licenses: Fishing licenses are not included. Please purchase your license online prior to your arrival at http://www.admin.adfg.state.ak.us/license/. Purchase a 7-day sport fishing license, starting on the first date of your first day of fishing. Guests fishing for king salmon will also need to purchase a king salmon stamp.

Weather & Climate: The weather in southwest Alaska is highly variable. Anglers should always come prepared for cold, rainy and windy conditions, especially early and late in the season. Typical daytime temperatures range from 40°-70° Fahrenheit.

Bear & Wildlife Safety: Bears and moose are common in the area, but rarely cause issues. The camp is surrounded by a solar powered electric fence to deter bears. Guests should be “bear” aware at all times on and off the river.

Medical Facilities: Due to our extremely remote location and very limited access to emergency medical care it is essential for us to be aware of any existing or developing medical conditions. Please let the camp manager know if you have any medical conditions that the crew should be aware of so that we can address them as needed. Guests may want to consider medical evacuation coverage.

Power & Electricity: The camp runs on power from a generator with limited battery back-up. The generator is turned on 30 minutes before breakfast and turns off after guests retire for the night. Each tent cabin has electrical outlets for charging devices.

Phones & Internet: There is no cell phone service at the camp, however we do have Starlink satellite internet which broadcasts on wi-fi throughout the camp.

Drinking Water: Tap water is filtered and potable. Guests will receive a reusable water bottle to use while in camp or our on the river.

Bathhouse & Showers: The bathhouse has an on-demand hot water system that provides hot running water to the sink and shower. We provide basic toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, soap and hand sanitizer.

Beverages/Alcohol: If you would like to preorder any alcohol, please contact ALEUTIAN ADVENTURES for details. Guests may bring in their own alcohol. We encourage folks who like higher quality hard alcohol to purchase it in the lower 48, as once you get to Alaska, you will be met with half the selection at twice the going rate.

Laundry Service: Due to the limitations of our remote location, laundry service is not available at the camp. We ask that guests use the same bedding, towel and washcloth for the week. Additional linens are available, if needed.
